First of all, I don't know why this is necessary. I have five or six
email accounts but all my sorting is completely independent of the
account I use. Do you have separate accounts for different purposes?
Like one for the KDE mailing lists, one for personal mail, one for work
related mail, etc.? The only things which might be o.k. are separate
inboxes which is already possible (simply choose different destination
folders in the configuration of your POP accounts) and separate draft
folders (but I still don't think they should be account related).
Separate outboxes and trash folders IMHO don't make sense.
BTW, configuring filters is really easy. And filters are far more
powerful than account related folders.
I don't understand what doesn't work for you. What do you mean by
'moving drafts from the normal box to another "account specific"
folder'

Do you mean word wrapping of selected text?

Someone promised to work on this.

I don't get you. As Seth already wrote "copying" selected text is easy.
Simply select the text you want to copy with the mouse and then paste
it either with the middle mouse button or the paste key (Ctrl+V).

> -Ability to select sound files to be played on receiving/sending mail

Playing sound files on receiving mail is possible by configuring KMail
to execute a command like 'playwav newmail.wav'. If you what to play a
sound on sending mail define an outgoing filter which executes a
command like 'playwav sending.wav'.

Double click on messages in the outbox and drafts folder opens these
messages in the composer in the current KMail version. Double clicking
to reply to a message is not intuitive.

I won't have a look at Windows programs.

We are constantly working on improving KMail. But we mainly improve
things which we consider important, e.g. IMAP support, OpenPGP support,
S/MIME support, better handling of large messages, etc.
