I'm not sure, if this will work at all places.

For example I still don't understand how you want to write RFC 2047 encoding 
in a different way as it is done currently. You have to care that lines don't 
exceed 78 characters, but you can't cut the encoded words where you want, 
when multibyte encodings or encodings like iso-2022-jp that start and end 
with a 0x1b character are used.
