This makes the impression, that you have still kdelibs or kdebase from KDE 2.1
around.
It could however also be a bug in the Mandrake RPMs, since that is also the
second report on this.

In any case, this address is for bug reports in KMail and not for support
questions, for how to install Mandrake RPMs correctely.

Package: kmail
Version: KMail 1.3 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Interesting problem with KMail 1.3. I had Kmail working in KDE 2.1 and decided to \
upgrade to KDE 2.2 (on Mandrake 8.0). The upgrade went ok (so it seems). I tried to \
access KMail and got this "Error connecting to pop" and then "open". I remembered \
that I forgot to delete my old 2.1 .kderc and .kde/ files, so I did that. I also \
moved my ~/Mail directory to ~/Mail.old just in case. I then restarted and KDE came \
up and Kmail re-established its directory and I re-setup my mailbox.

I then read my mail from my pop fine and imported my old mail from ~/Mail.old that I \
created. When I left it at midnight everything was working fine.

This morning I restarted my machine and tried to read my mail (no luck). I then ran \
kmail from a shell with kmail 2> xx and this is what was produced:

Does anyone have any ideas?
