As this is no bug I close your bug report. Anyway, we are working on
making it faster resp. non-blocking, i.e. so that you can continue
browsing while GnuPG decrypts/verifies the message in the background.

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.2.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Long message digest mails take extremely long to open. Especially if GPG is enabled. \
ps aux shows a 'gpg --decrypt --batch' process churning away, the absence of which, \
if kill -9'ed, speeds everything up considerably. Perhaps there should be an option \
to disable gpg on some (mail-list) folders. The way things are at the moment, it is \
infeasible to quickly browse through a lot of digest mail, which did at least work in \
Netscape Mail, as terrible as it was.

Apart from this, I am a happy KMail user. Keep up the good work.

M
