Hopefully now also fixed, for an eventual KDE 2.2.2 release.

has caused the attached bug report to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

(NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I'm

                buffer overflow
From: mscott@omaja.com

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.2.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Debian Packages
Compiler: Whichever compiler was used to build the i386 deb's for kde 2.2.1
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Running debian woody with kde 2.2.1 from sid, also did this using \
kde 2.2.

I occasionally receive emails from the local chamber of commerce and every time we \
receive one in our inbox and try to read it in KMail, Kmail will abruptly close \
before anything is displayed.

This has happened with more than one different email from the same address. The \
emails causing problems are processed by ezmlm-idx first but all other emails sent to \
the same address come through without problem.

Above the footer our listserv adds, the last line of the email causing the problems \
has over 20000 spaces after the period on the last sentence. A total of 25656 \
characters on one line.

If the message is isolated, i.e. cut and pasted from the inbox file into a new file, \
KMail will not crash upon loading that file. However, it will show that there are \
zero messages in the folder when clearly there is one.

If whoever works on this bug would like me to file-attach to them the source of an \
offending email please let me know.

(Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
(Called from KBugReport dialog. Fields Application, KDE Version, OS, Compiler \
manually changed)
