Actually I don't understand how this is related, that should only depend on
the charset you have choses in KControl.

Nevertheless, closing then.

Subject: KMail does not print Umlaute and accents
From: joerg.hau@dplanet.ch

Package: kmail
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.2.19
OS/Compiler notes:

KMail does not print special characters like german Umlaute and french accents:

I receive a bunch of mail that contain either Umlaute or accents, usually as \
Content-Type: text/plain; and charset="iso-8859-1".

A text like "Hierzu m=FC=DFte der Hersteller sein Einverst=E4ndniss geben." shows up \
correctly in the preview, but upon printing (PS printer, PS preview and PDF file) it \
ignores (or changes -- accents) these special chars.

(Note that I'm using the "default" english language version of KMail).
