That is something that causes faster application startup but also causes a few 
crashes, at least up to now. Either Caldera did compile that into their RPMs 
or they didn't.
Well, at least I can't find anything about it in the README.

You can only enable debug information, if you compile the code yourself. 
Preferrable the .tar.bz2 tarballs. I currently don't know, how Caldera SRPMs 
work. See http://www.kde.org/install-source.html for how to do that. For 
debug information you have to use "./configure --prefix=<some directory> 
--enable-debug".
Since this crash seems to appear in kdelibs, you have to compile at least 
kdelibs yourself and then probably also everything that uses kdelibs to make 
it work properly. For testing of KMail at least kdebase and kdenetwork.
What version of Qt are you using, btw.?
