You have to enter your UID in the corresponding field of the Identity 
page in the configuration dialog.

After upgrading form KDE 2.2beta1 to 2.2.1pre signing messages with gpg stopped \
working. In the other words, Sign button on the Compose toolbar is always disabled. \
Encryption works fine.
