Attempting to view the kLyX user guide by clicking on
"Help --> User's Guide" in the menubar causes the
machine to slow to a crawl to the point that the mouse
and keyboard can become unresponsive if I wait long
enough. At the bottom of the window it says "Loading
font into X server . . ." Doing the same thing in LyX
is much faster, and does not tie up my CPU.

This klyx is from the klyx-2.0-1mdk rpm from Mandrake.
