When I remember my last SuSE installation right, it has a dependency
between linux headers and gcc. Somehow you ruined that and removed
the linux headers, since linux/types.h is missing. 

You should have a /usr/src/linux/includes/linux/types.h file. Unless
you have, your installation is broken.
