Ill put my hand up for the SVN tasks ;), We use svn at work so I have some
experience with it
To be honest I don't know python that well either but I thought I'd make a
start....nothing like just doing it.
Also of interest there is a python port of the xdg tools

I've been playing around with glade as well just getting the hang of it
heres a screen shot off an initial install screen.
