Does anyone know the transmit power of the Orinoco Gold?  The little book that came \
with it says 15 dBm.  How does that compare to the Cisco cards at 100mw? 
I have connected to an AP over a mile away with a 14.5db directional at 2Mbs. But I \
can receive about 20 AP from my  hill top perch. Some vary well.  I know of one in an \
apartment building I can connect to when I am parked about 1/4 mile  away with a \
3.5db omni. I can get every packet at 3 miles with the directional, but I can't \
connect. Wonder if the boost  in power from a Cisco will help. 

Trying to see what kind of range I can get out of this setup. I can't get DSL here, \
but a friend can 4 miles away, but I  have a small hill in the way that blocks direct \
line of sight.  Trying to figure out if two 14.5db (or higher) directionals and  \
highest power cards I can get will overpower the hill.
