Moin!

I got several bug reports about the face that the default
encoding. I checked this and indeed the only thing that
happens there is that the available encoding types are
read. Save / Load / Default is not implemented for this
combo box. I wonder if this is on purpose?

Otherwise, I will come up with a patch.
