No, because the option is KDE-wide and not specific to konqueror in any way.

Dirk

has caused the attached bug report to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

(NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I'm
talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration
somewhere. Please contact me immediately.)

From: topace@lightbox.org

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.2alpha2 (using KDE 2.2.0 \6alpha2)
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.1
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.5
OS/Compiler notes:

Looking for the feature to only select files on single click, and open on double \
click, i expected it to be in KControl->File Browsing-> File Manager-> Behavior (or \
Appearance) ... Instead it took me forever to locate it in Peripherals-> Mouse-> \
General Perhaps this option "Use double-click to activate or open" should be moved, \
or put in both modules, so its location is more intuitive
