Subject: Bug#26360: doesn't accept locations without http://
From: jvillavicencio () artinsoft ! com
Date: 2001-05-29 16:14:40
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: konqueror
Version: unknown (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.0)
OS: Linux 2.4.2 i686
OS/Compiler notes:
When I write a location without http:// (for example: machine2 or server_1 --they're \
ip's are defined in /etc/hosts) the browser sends me to a search page \
(navigation.realnames.com). Also, I live under a Firewall with restricted access to \
some sites. Internaly (don't ask me how!!) the firewall tries to open a page \
(AISCRIT...) wich looks for the site's contents to let or doesn't let me go into that \
site. The konqueror says in a msgbox: COULD NOT CONNECT TO HOST AISCRIT (PORT \
15871). In netscape there's no problem at all with this.
