I updated from 1.9.x or so (where the bookmarks where stored in
.kde2/share/apps/kfm/bookmarks/*).

Now the bookmarks are stored in .kde2/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml.
I tried to drag&drop the .desktop-style old bookmarks into the new bookmark 
editor and noticed: only the first entry in the drag&drop list gets copied, 
so I had to transfer them one by one.

It's a SuSE 7.1 (KDE 2.0.1) with update packages for KDE 2.1.1
