You have to give qt's configure a -gif

Package: konqueror
Version: KDE 2.1.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: egcs 2.91.66
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: redhat 6.2, 2.2.14

konqueror doesnt seem to be able to display gifs. I compiled and installed \
everything manually: qt2.3, kdelibs 2.1.2, and kdebase 2.1.1. I looked through the \
./configure output, and it finds libpng and libjpeg. I figure this is a problem with \
old or missing libraries, but I think lacking gif capability should have been brought \
to my attention during compilation..

also, Im behind a pretty potent proxy server at IBM. This may have something to do \
with not loading the gifs. Although I believe I have the proxy support configured \
correctly in konqueror, as everything else seems to work.

thanks
Scott
