that's called user-configuration, no? :)

Did you have a look at the shortcut configuration? You can assign a shortcut
yourself.

Subject: sidebar issues
From: jochen@puchalla-online.de

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.2alpha1 (using KDE 2.2.0 \6alpha1)
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.2.18
OS/Compiler notes:

I read about some wishes for sidebar issues.
One wants an automatic behaviour,
the other wants a button to toggle it and so on.

I think a good compromise is to introduce a
Keyboard-shortcut to toggle the sidebar on/off.

I think this would be more often used than
"Split View left/right" or
"Split View top/bottom".

It would be quick to code and the users will be
able to toggle the sidebar quickly.

How do you think about it?

It seems like there is more need than enough for this.
