I use konqueror as my FTP client and when
I type a new URL, like ftp://myuser@192.168.0.1
at this point an option is presente by the
curtain menu showing my password, like
ftp://myuser:mypassword@192.168.0.1/home/myuser

Please, do not show any password in the history.
