If you go to http://www.slashdot.org/ or 
http://dot.kde.org/, for example, the link and visited 
link colors are not those specified by the HTML, but 
default colors selected by konqueror (bright blue and 
bright pink).  Compare with Netscape.

This is on a clean, empty user account with all default 
KDE settings.
