From kfm-devel Wed Jan 31 18:05:59 2001 From: mdeters () morgandeters ! com Date: Wed, 31 Jan 2001 18:05:59 +0000 To: kfm-devel Subject: Bug#19478: BASE HREF ignored when you select "Copy Link Location" X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kfm-devel&m=98096530019197 Package: khtml Version: 3.0 (KDE 2.1 post Beta 2 (>= 20010128)) Severity: normal Installed from: from source, obtained via CVS 30 Jan 8:00am GMT Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release) OS: Linux 2.2.14-VA.5.1 i686 (compiled sources) When a page with a BASE HREF is loaded, relative links resolve properly when followed, but the BASE seems to be ignored when you drop down the menu and select "Copy Link Location," and thus an incorrect URL goes to the clipboard. I first discovered this while navigating Google's cache but was able to reproduce it with a simpler (and HTML 4-conforming) documents as well, including the short example mentioned in the HTML 4 spec: http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/links.html#h-12.4 Thanks, Morgan (submitted via bugs.kde.org)
