Hello,

I cannot duplicate this.  It works correctly here.  Hmmm... I also cannot tell
what version of KDE you are running.  It says upto that you have installed
from source.  When were the source files last updated ?

Also can you please do

cat /opt/kde2/share/config/kshorturifilterrc 

from the command line and see if they match the entries below:

[Pattern Matching]
^www=http://
^ftp=ftp://
^localhost=http://
^LOCALHOST=http:// 

Your entries should be identical or the last two entries missing if your source
files are really old.
