Not saying that Netscape is always right, but I'm noticing on my site that
konqueror and netscape render the <BR> tag slightly differently.

Go to http://www.comptechnews.com/ with netscape and with konqueror and compare.

You will see that netscape puts space breaks in where konqueror doesn't.
It's as if konqueror treats multiple <BR> in a row as only one <BR> and will 
not make any space between lines.
