At each startup of the desktop (either as root, or as user), I get an error message on screen advising that
a signal 11 has been received from the nspluginscan.
 
In the KDE Desktop Control Centre, under 
"Web Browsing" ---> "Netscape Plugins"
I have "Scan for new plugins at KDE Startup" enabled.

This error message is consistent at each startup.
