Hmm, I was thinking about kview, but I was wrong, it doesn't handle tiff.
In fact there is a kimgio module for tiff (G3), but it doesn't manage to convert the image :
pixie: KImageIO: readImage() format = G3
QImage::convertDepth: Image is a null image  
so I guess no KDE program is able to handle TIFF at the moment.

Ok, I added a check for that, and stopped the process with a message box saying
"There appears to be a misconfiguration. You have associated konqueror
with <mimetype>, but it can't handle this file type."
