The bug can be reproduced.
I access a web page in our intranet.
The site is running apache web-server.
The page is secured by basic authentication.
Inbetween my machine and the webserver is a squid proxy-cache version 2.3.
Giving wrong user or wrong password just produces an error-message like it should.
After typing in the correct password, konqueror crashes.
If I connect to the site using e.g. netscape browser and download the page to my \
disk, I can access it without problems in konqueror.
