icon view or column view, if column widths not suer specified, then
have it automatically size to the largest filename currently in the window
pane. ie:

this is a very long filename.txt    heres another file.txt                     a third column.txt
something.txt                            onceagain.txt                              almost done.txt
blah.txt                                    blah2.txt                                     lastone.txt

get the idea?
