Hi,

I uploaded a simple page that lets you reproduce the problem.
The bug is not (as I thought) the width in percent, but the fact that with 
colspan > 2 two cells *together* need a minimal width (e.g. because a big 
image spans two columns, as in this test case). Obviously this doesn't get 
computed, no matter if you specify width in percent or absolute. If you 
don't specify width for the cells, it works.
