In the html case I don't know, but in the other case it stands for Scream
Tracker Module. Scream Tracker is/was a popular music creation program for
good old DOS :-) . stm was sort of the successor of the goold old .mod
files from the Amiga (and that you know, David, right? ;-) , but for PC.
