I've noticed this. The reason: the new "active" state effect (see Icons 
configuration) means that the icon is redrawn everytime the mouse is over
a new icon. With image preview, it re-sets the image, which is not a good thing
to do (and leads to this small QIconView bug apparently).

The fix : to avoid the unnecessary setIcon call when the icon is in fact
an image preview one (which requires to save that information in KonqFileItem).
(this more a workaround than a fix, but re-reading the image preview
is a waste of time anyway)

The time frame : long, unless someone else than me does it.
