Sorting by date in the listview and treeview is currently not very useful.  It
that it simply attempts to alphabetically sort the localized date string, which
only works properly for yyyy/mm/dd (24 hour time), which I don't think is very 
common.  It looks like it might be a fair amount of work to fix without a kludge
like reimplementing the sort() method with an inverse function for formatTime.
