From kfm-devel Tue Nov 30 14:01:34 1999 From: Simon Oosthoek Date: Tue, 30 Nov 1999 14:01:34 +0000 To: kfm-devel Subject: Bug#2360: KDE/Linux locks when renaming directory in NFS share X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kfm-devel&m=94397137109231 package: kfm version: 1.167.2.21 When I rename a directory on an NFS share (on a remote machine) using the properties dialog of kfm, the directory is renamed and then the machine locks up (no mouse, no keyboard, nothing, not even ctrl-alt-del ctrl-alt-bksp, ctrl-alt-FX, etc). Nothing is reported in the logfiles However, this is not on all machines, only (so far) on a PIII-500 (HP Kayak-XAs, with one processor). Another machine, a laptop PII-300 doesn't have this problem. Both machines run mandrake 6.1 upgraded from 6.0. The PIII uses the default kernel 2.2.13-7mdksmp, the PII uses a kernel compiled by myself 2.2.13 (the standard kernel, not mandrake sources) if there is more you want to know, let me know! cheers Simon
