Hi,

The .directory file contains a reference to both a normal-size icon and
a mini icon. When using KFM in "short view" mode, the icon of the
directory is indeed the mini icon. But when viewing inside the
directory, the ".directory" file icon is the mini version of the normal
icon.

Example:

/floppy/.directory:

# KDE Config File
[KDE Desktop Entry]
BgImage=
MiniIcon=mini-cross.xpm
Icon=3floppy_unmount.xpm

(The idea is that a cross is displayed when the floppy is not mounted.
However, since there is no normal-size icon of a cross, I used the
"3floppy_unmount.xpm" icon instead.)

When viewing the root directory with kfm in "short view" mode, the icon
before "floppy" is "mini-cross.xpm". But when viewing the "/floppy"
directory (and the floppy is not mounted), the icon before ".directory"
becomes the mini version of "3floppy_unmount.xpm".

Bye,
		Maarten
