Subject: Bug#2336: kfm can't access FTP locations on Solaris server running wu-ftp

The ftp server is WU ftpd 2.6. I agree with Dirk that "ls" may be the
issue. Solaris ships with /usr/bin/ls (usually the default) and
/usr/ucb/ls - which is more Berkley-ish. I can log onto this server
and if I run /usr/bin/ls -l, I get the groupid; when I run
/usr/ucb/ls -l, I don't. My guess is that the ucb version was copied
to ftp's bin.

I assume that Sunos 4.x ftp servers will also have the same problem,
but I don't have access to one to test this.
