Subject: Bug#2295: kfm improperly reads ftp password
From: David Sullins <dsulli () ece ! umr ! edu>
Date: 1999-11-13 21:53:11
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kfm
Version: 1.83 (according to HTML documentation)
When you use kfm to log into an ftp site as a non-anonymous user, it then
prompts you for a password. If your password contains the / character
then everything after the / is incorrectly appended to your username.
For example, I try ftp://dsulli@foo.org/. A window pops up and says
"Password for dsulli@foo.org". I type the password rS3y/i98Db (not my
real password) and kfm returns an error dialog box saying "File
ftp://dsulli/i98Db@foo.org" does not exist.
I am using linux kernel 2.2.10 and libc 5.4.44.
KDE version is 1.1.2, compiled from source, upgraded from KDE 1.1.
