Who except for KOffice and Konquy does rely on more then dealing with mimetypes ? Who is dealing at least with KMimeType and the magic mimtype detection ? I wont to compile these apps in order to make shure that I dont break code. For you information ------------------- The mapping from mimetypes to the default app in no longer in the mimetypes kdelnk file. That was a stupid idea, because for example StarOffice installed a users text/html mime type and suddenly staroffice was used for browsing To avoid that to happen there will be a user profile. It assigns marks ( 0 - 10 ) to each application+mimetype combination. Default is 1. 0 means: Dont ever use 10 means: The default. There may only be one with 10 Currently I store that in HOME/.kde/share/config/userprofile Bye Torben
