Bug #856 is in fact a wishlist item for KDE-2.0 kioslave.

Anyone willing to implement NT FTP servers output parsing in kioslave ?

Wow. It's not a slash problem, in fact. The problem is that WNT lists
directories with another format as unix ftp sites :

Connected to atlas2.phy.bnl.gov.
220 atlas2 Windows NT FTP Server (Version 3.5).

Whereas Unix ftp sites, or even Windows 95 usual ftp servers (serv-U for
instance) list directories with the usual unix format :

ftp> dir
200 PORT Command OK
150 Opening data connection

It looks like Netscape supports both.
I'll make your bug report a wishlist item, since it's not a little bug to
fix, but a whole different parsing to do.
We'll try to make this part of KDE-2.0 if possible (the kfm design has been
reworked on for 2.0, so it's not worth doing that for 1.1.1)

Thanks for your report.

PS : If only Microsoft conformed to standards... :(
