Since alt has been used for a long time in activating menu keyboard 
navigation; of which I never seen anyone complain it sure is a good 
keyboard shoftcut to begin with.
Second; I personally am annoyed at least ones an hour with an improper link 
being followed or simply by the shortcuts popping up when I used the 
control key but decided against actually pressing a keyboard shortcut. 
(including control-arrowkey, which I use a lot).

I'd go for some more input instead of simply saying I'm wrong :)
