It's not a regression, it's a voluntary change to be in line with other browsers.
We returned uppercase previously only due to a mistake in DOM-2, which
wasn't intentional, and which will hopefully be part of an errata soon.

All attribute names are now returned lowercase, from HTML and XHTML documents.
(XML is case-preserving IIRC)
