Hello,

as of recently, kate shows a weird behaviour. The component is a KDirLister,
therefore this mail goes to this list. If you move with the mouse over the
directory list in kate, the list show the full names of the files as tips.
However, when you move the mouse out of the kate window fast or at certain
points, the tip stays after the mouse leaves the kate window. They should IMO
either vanish after a certain period - or better - vanish immediately when the
mouse is no longer over the component showing the tip.

As it is implemented now, the tip will not even go away when another window
comes in front. At the moment I have this KMail window and in front of it the
annoying kate tooltip. Waldo or Coolo already mentioned the same thing for
the desktop files IIRC.
