Hello all,

It's been a while since I've posted to this list with any news of
JavaScript menus with Konqueror. My primary computer has been in a box
for a couple of months while I've been moving so I haven't been able to
do much. However, I do have one success story to report.

The JavaScript menu API at http://www.brothercake.com/dropdown have now
been modified and tested to work with the latest version of Konqueror.
The maintainer of the menus (who calls himself "Cake") has been very
helpful not only in getting Konqueror to work, but also in allowing me
to test and report bugs on a variety of other Linux browsers.

The only issues with respect to Konqueror and these menus is a minor
rendering problem with the CSS properties margin-top and margin-bottom
and a z-Index problem. Neither of these really detract from the
usability of the menus (nearly every other browser has the same z-Index
problem) but if your curious, the bugs on these items can be found by
searching on bug numbers 31121 and 34372 at bugs.kde.org.=20

I'd like to take this opportunity to again thank the developers of
Konqueror for this wonderful browser. I think all in all, I maybe had to
modify 20 or so lines of code to get everything working.

Kudos!

David
