Hello Jaroslaw,
I was so happy to hear your good news. I opened my Kexi table, went into design view, and increased the maximum number of allowed characters for each of my fields of type "text", from 200 to = 1000. Went again clicked on the tab to switch back to data view, I got the below message. On the basis of the below, I had to discard the changes I had made, by clicking on "Discard design". You wrot= e below that this problem was fixed a long time ago. Are you sure about that? Or if there is another way to do this aside from what I did, please let me know.

Sw= arup,
I double checked and I see I had no data in my test = table, that's why I observe different message. I also confused the prop= erty with the "Default value" property.=C2=A0
It= would be best if you add a bug report to bugs.kde.org then, thanks.
In the rep= ort I will be can recommend a warkaround for you for changing the property = without removing data.

= Hello Swarup
Thanks for the question. For quite long time already (3.0?) KEXI does not require removal or recreation of the table if modified property is of such non-fundamental kind. So no worries here.

I would very much like to increase the number of characters allowed in each cell, or remove the limit altogether. But cannot afford to lose my data.

=
= Also no worries here. If removal or recreation of the table is required KEXI _always_ tells you that and asks for confirmation prior to the change. You then have the opportunity to abandon changes made to the project recently.
