Hello,

since many of the promlems listed in this mailing list are due to configuration \
problems it might be a good idea to create a config parsing system to check the \
correct syntax. An even better idea might be to create a document type description \
DTD for the configuration. The configuration itself exists as an XML document which \
can be validated by the DTD. We also need a stylesheet which transforms the XML \
configuration into the current keepalived configuration.

It should not be too hard to create a DTD and a stylesheet. Then we can use our \
favorite XML editor to write the configuration and validate it. Next step will be to \
use an XML/XSLT aware technique to transform the XML file into the current keepalived \
config which could be done using C#/Mono (could be my job) , Java, PHP, ...

What do you think?

Thank you & bye
Thomas
