1) Programming-18.html not in distribition causes make install to go kaput...
2) to run a program, I believe a terminal is supposed to appear.
I get the following in a konsole: 
CClassView::refresh( proj )
  parsing:[/home/nlemay/C++/quadform/quadform/main.cpp]
CClassView::refresh()
buildInitalClassTree
 
EXEC:konsole -e bash -c './quadform;echo "
Press Enter to continue!";read'   

No konsole wiindow pops up.

for (1) type make install
for (2) I have no clue.... any help would be great.
