The assert in question triggers if KDevelop tries to clear an item repository,
but fails in deleting the directory, maybe because of permission issues:
  bool result = removeDirectory(m_path);
  Q_ASSERT(result);
Maybe it would help to run kdevelop through strace -f, thus finding which path
it exactly fails to get access to?
