Bug ID: 298746
Severity: normal
Version: unspecified
Priority: NOR
Assignee: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
Summary: characters inserted in reverse order
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: ronka_mata@centrum.cz
Hardware: Debian stable
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: general
Product: kdevelop
Kdevelop 4.4.5
after some time of writing/deleting/editing code, kdevelop starts to insert
characters in reverse order.
eg: instead of asdfg it inserts gfdsa
According to my experience, this happens if I select characters in reverse
order and then delete them
(meaning I move cursor to the end of the sentence, press CTRL+Left Arrow and
then move to the begging and then press Delete key). If I repeat this process
too often, kdevelop simply inserts characters in reversed fashion as mentioned
above.
Restart of the file is necessary (File Close/File Open) - this is most
inconvenient.
Sometimes a lot of "Ctrl+Z" repeated helps (back/back/back)...
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. write code in main window
2. move cursor to the end of the sentence, press CTRL+Left Arrow and then move
to left a few words and then press Delete key
3. repeat step1/step2 - this problem becomes apparent after longer time (in
tens of minutes)
Actual Results:
new characters are inserted in reverse fashion:
instead of "asdfg" it inserts "gfdsa" and it does not fix till restart of the
window
Expected Results:
print "asdfg" on screen
- I have enabled nearly all plugins shipped with Kdevelop 4.4.5 debian version
- I work with C files, but I do not upload them as a project, but individual
files
- If I open more tabs at once, this bug only occurs in one of them and does not
reproduce to other
