I not tested your fix yet.

I use kdevelop and kdevplatform from packages of Mageia2 distribution. I use
Mandriva 2011 and before I build kdevelop and kdevplatform from sources on
virtial machine and copied it to real system. I thought it caused the problem.
Unfortunately Qt Documentation pages still are not visible.

I saw, that you replace mime ('application/x-extension-html' to 'text/html') in
this fix. I'm not sure is this will help for my problem, because I think that I
have properly mime. Result of your test:
$ kmimetypefinder qthelp://com.trolltech.qt.481/qdoc/qlist.html
text/html
(accuracy 100)

Message shown when in kdebugdialog I turn on all options related with kdevelop
and start kdevelop4 from cli.
Below message shown when I click into "C++ semantic information tooltip" on
link "Show documentation for QString"
