In "Launch Configurations" dialog, you can rename configurations with a
shortcut or by double clicking the name in a list. Neither of these
alternatives is visible to the user, causing people to think that it is not
even possible, as you can see from this bug:

Solution: Add a text field where the name can be changed to the right side of
the dialog, where other settings are currently set.
