Summary: Detect that a file has not really changed, if
timestamp changed
Product: kdevelop
Version: 4.2.2
Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
ReportedBy: mail-kdebugs@codingdomain.com
Version: 4.2.2 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux
When a file is changed outside KDevelop, a warning about this appears.
However, when the file has not changed at all (only the timestamp), this prompt
also appears.
Such things happen for example when using `git rebase -i HEAD^^^` to reword
commit messages.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
* Open a bunch of files from a git-controlled project
* Do a `git rebase -i HEAD^^^`
* Change "pick" to "reword" on some columns
* Reword a few commits, let the rebase run.
Actual Results:
KDevelop prompts that a file has changed, which is not really true.
Expected Results:
No prompt, KDevelop seeing that the diff is identical.
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37.6-0.5-desktop
Compiler: gcc
