           Summary: C++ code completion works ugly with operator-> (like
                    QPointer::operator-> and auto_ptr::operator->)
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: git master
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Language Support: CPP
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
        ReportedBy: batyiev@gmail.com

Version: git master (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS:                Linux

When some variable is a pointer to complex object, putting dot after it will
transform dot to arrow ("->"). However, QPointer is not itself a pointer and
contains separate operator->. But selecting operator-> from drop down list will
result in ugly code like pointer.operator->()->somefield.
While it's correct syntax, it's ugly. It would be nice to have
'pointer->somefield' instead.

Reproducible: Always
